Here many factors to affect the wear resistant of rubber lagging sheet for conveyor pulleys. How to judge the wear resistant performance of pulley rubber lagging ?


1. Process technology of rubber lagging

  • Traditional hot vulcaization rubber lagging - Low vulcanize pressure, higher sulfur content, low rubber density, poor wear resistant. 

  • Cold bonding rubber lagging - Large adhesive strength, fast vulcanized, high rubber density, good wear resistant, long service life, easy installation & maintenance, low cost. 


2. Material of rubber

The quality of rubber is the key factor that affects the wear resistant of lagging sheet, the higher friction performance, the stronger wear resistant.  So, the performance parameters of rubber determines the service life of pulley lagging


3. The surface structure of rubber lagging.

Now the surface structure of rubber lagging including diamond pattern, chevron pattern, ceramic lagging, etc. 

4. The adhesive materials of rubber lagging

The adhesive strength between rubber lagging and pulley is the key factor to ensure smooth running of conveyor system.
